Walking the boundaries, Welcome

Welcome to the 'Walking the boundaries' Blog

I propose that this is both a place to find information on the three walks that are planned for this summer and a place for artwork to be uploaded and comments posted.

THE WALKS

We will explore the commons and experience the boundaries, differences and oppositions that we encounter. Some instances will be planned and some spontaneous.

'Carnival logic (the logic of ambivalence) is not restricted to the limitation of binary oppositions which set limits, but is equivalent of the power of continuum
(positive and negative)'

John Lechte on Bakhtin, 50 contemporary thinkers

If you are planning to come on one of these walks then please wear stout walking boots or shoes, bring something to eat, as we will be stopping for breaks (walk approximately 3 and a half hours) We will not be straying from paths and bridleways, but please wear long trousers as brambles and tics can be a problem. Something to sit on is a good idea too. Be prepared for rain, sleet, hail and sunshine, usual summer weather. And or course any thing you need to make art, from pencil and paper to video camera, whatever you need. But most of all bring an open and inquiring mind. There will be a health and safety talk at the start of each walk.

CONTENT

I am not here to censor any artwork, except on the grounds of gratuitous or hate fueling content, none of which I'm sure will appear. So please do not be put off if you haven't had any work recognised or published, we are here to share our views on difference, opposition, boundaries, and or a drawing of a tree or photo of a butterfly.

When we have content I will post it up, so please send to my email:-
